The focus today is 2 great articles.
The first speaks to the importance of nutrition, especially in HIV or disease stricken communities. Medicines are notably less effective when a person is not well fed. The same goes for the ability to learn on an empty stomach. This article provides a practical example of what can be done to combat this issue.
The second is from my ‘buddy’ at NYT, Nick Kristof. Here, he describes what is needed to fight global poverty from an aid approach. Simplistically brilliant and clear cut, I hope those who gathered at the UN last week took this message home.
Read and reflect!
