Our Miss Rumphius

Earlier this week, a friend of mine attached this video to our email stream We hadn’t been discussing fiction, or elderly people or any of the other major themes.

As I shared it with another friend, one who teaches little children, she exclaimed how she has loved this book for years. Just like , Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge,  there is such wisdom in this category of writing.

Imagine if we only read children’s books. We could relinquish the esoteric prose and  scholarly research. And, instead, find the profound in simple words.
